End of the year

We can't believe how fast this year flew by.
There are so many things to share and be thankful for, that's why we made this short video, to let you know how much we appreciate all of you who are always praying, going with us to different places and mobilizing us with your financial support to encourage others.

Jonatan will be sharing soon more details about his last trip to the Amazon region.
I was privileged to spend some time with Natasha's parents and being able to see their baptism in the Amazon river. We are happy for this step of obedience to God. My parents were there also there so this was definitely a special occasion to have both sets of parents together.

One of the leaders in a key village in the Amazon got married. It was a blessing to see them moving along in their faith and desiring to do things the right way and continue growing to help others.

We were able to visit some pastors to give some encouragement and plan a pastoral training for next summer. Our friend, Rene Gonzales, is part of a ministry in Virginia. He took the challenge of the Amazon and will be supporting us with this ministry in the future. We are excited to have partners like him and his ministry.

Also, we want to update you all about our field team for ABWE. After several months of meetings and evaluation, it was determined that we will be working closely with the Brazilian team in the Amazon region. We are excited to be part of this team and we will also continue staying connected to the team in Colombia as needed. This doesn't change anything in the plans that we had for the ministry or the region where we will be working, it is just a more effective way to continue with the work in this environment.

November Latest News - Ultimas Noticias Noviembre

Hi
We made this short video to share with all of you about our latest news.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and your support.

At last IFR. So many people to thank for.
First to God, who allows all things to happen in his time and provides all the ways for it.
Secondly, my wonderful wife Natasha Brown. There is no way I could have accomplished this without her help, taking care of so many responsibilities so I could take the time to focus to study and get this done. Thank you all the instructors who helped me get all the necessary requirements and their willingness and time to support me in this big step. All my aviator friends who were always and are still encouraging and helping in any area to become a better pilot.
And all those who faithfully support us through prayer and financially. We are all part of the same kingdom. To you all Thank you. One step closer to Mission Aviation Amazon

Staying with God's will.

Warm greetings from Florida to our friends and family.

So much has happened in our lives since we gave our last report. We want to send a video recapping what happened and also to our friends that don't have facebook to get a report as well.

"We were planning to go and live in a missionary home this past Friday. We had a contract made months prior and thought that everything was going to work out. When we got there, everything changed, and we felt it just wasn’t the place God had for us. So, after hours of driving with all our belongings packed in our cars, we turned around and drove another 2 hours back to Dunnellon not knowing what God had in store...
God is sooooo good, after a few days, Jonatan’s friend told us of a rental house he had that just came available. We moved in this past week. It is so beautiful and beyond enough room for the girls to play and me to cook 🙂 we feel so blessed and deeply thankful."

God took care of us more than we could have ever even thought. I, Natasha, am deeply thankful that we could stay closer to Jonatan while he is studying and we can be more "in family" daily. We would have been over 2 hours away from him and he would have had to drive weekly to Dunnellon and only see us girls on weekends. God is so good!

Isabella has a fascination with bugs. She is getting ready for the Amazon!

We went to a local, Christian owned, pumpkin patch and had some fun...

We feel greatly blessed being able to get to 66% of our financial support. Please keep us in your prayers as we get to 100%.
We are looking for individual ministry partners as well as churches to visit to share the vision of the ministry. If you are interested and able to connect us, please let us know.

October 2018

Friends and family,
We wanted to share a quick update of gratitude for our deputation we took over the past couple of months. Since we have gotten back to Florida, we found a place to stay while in limbo on waiting for our temporary missionary housing to come through. We praise God for some stability at this time to finish up things that have been pending.

Please pray for us.
We have an apartment for 3 months in Largo Fl with a missionary housing organization. Jonatan will be traveling weekly to Dunnellon, FL (about 2 hours away) to concentrate and finish up his flight training. This is very important to finish before we leave for the field, as well as take his exams. He also has to take the 4 required classes through ABWE, each will take about a month to finish.
Natasha is busy taking care of the girls, a full-time job like many of you mothers know. She is also finishing taking the 4 required classes through ABWE. If God provides births, she is working on her doula training too.
In the meantime, we are looking and scheduling churches to go and visit to share the ministry. We are excited for the open doors.

To all of our faithful supporters, we cannot thank you enough for being our backbone through this time. Honestly, without you, we could not have made it through all these months of traveling. We feel so blessed to have you in our lives. We love each and every one of you.

August Recap, Prefield Journey Continues

Friends and Family,

As our prefield journey continues, we cannot believe how fast this past month, August, flew by. It’s a week into September and we almost forgot to blog!
God has been opening up doors and we have felt his presence all along the way. This past month we traveled to Virginia and now are in West Virginia sharing as we go. We spoke at two new churches and shared at three of our supporting churches, you can see in the attached pictures.

Many ask, so, what’s next?
*We are taking 4 required online classes with ABWE.
*Jonatan is working on finishing up his aviation training.
*Natasha is working on finishing up her Doula International certification.
*Please pray for us, we would love to be at 100% funded by the end of March. We have a required class to take at 85% funded in April that we would like to take and then leave for Colombia after that. Only God knows, and we fully trust His leading.

*We are looking for churches to visit in Florida. If you know a contact we would love for you to connect us! We will be concentrating there till the end of our fundraising term.

Second Deputation Trip Started...

Greetings from the Nieto family,

When we arrive "home" from the Amazon a month ago we knew our lives were going to change. We had just a week to pack and leave the ITEC housing we had, relocate our stuff, and also get ready for a trip to Pennsylvania. Since we had reached the 50% of our budget we needed to take the required class. We decided to take advantage of that time and started asking people for contacts to visit some churches.

Praise God we finished our class and had a beautiful time there. God showed us many new things and we were greatly refreshed and learned new things. It re-encouraged us to stay focused on finishing this pre-field journey. Our hearts want to get to the field but we know we need to take this time to visit and make contacts and a support circle. Not to focus on financial support but a support of people that will lift us up in prayer and stay connected with us, which is crucial in times of discouragement.

We were thankful for a contact that come open in Boston, a friend from Lynchburg let us share in his church. We actually didn't know at the beginning of the contact that the church was in Portuguese, we just accepted the invitation. But, to our surprise we ended up sharing in two different Brazilian churches that day. We were so encouraged by these churches as they opened their doors for us to share, they made us feel so comfortable and even organized a lunch after service to raise funds for our support. They are focused on reaching the lost in this part of the world, Brazil. How awesome. We felt that God was and is doing a work in all of this, like he always does :) As a family we want to learn more the language, Jonatan knows quite a bit, but we want to learn to speak it well. We have been doing ministry in Brazil and learning the language is very important to us as we continue making more connections in the Amazon region. Actually the only private, Christian school in the Amazon area where we will be living is a school in Portuguese, so our girls will most likely be going there. As parents we will want to be able to communicate with the teachers and other parents.

As we travel we don't just concentrate on visiting churches but most importantly making new friends and contacts. We love meeting the new people that God puts in our lives.

And as always, we thank you for being part of our lives, you will never know how special you all are to us.
