New Excitement

We want to praise God for all the goodness in these past few months. Our last blog has not been updated in been such a long time ago because of so many new and exciting things happening in our lives.

The main exciting "thing" was the birth of our Isabella Marianna. She is such a precious joy to get to have as part of our lives. We cannot imagine life without her and she is always our sunshine. God gave Natasha a natural birth, free of complications and we are so thankful to let Isabella come into the world "all natural".

Another excitement is that Jonatan finally got to return to Liberty University to complete the rest of his aviation mechanics certification. Currently we are back in Lynchburg, Virginia so we can complete this chapter in our lives and continue on. The anticipated finish date is the end of this year, this will give Jonatan his aviation mechanics degree but he still has to finish up some tests to be an official aviation mechanic.

When Jonatan is finished we will be traveling back to Ocala, Florida to continue our training with ITEC. We have been so blessed to have them call us family.

Please keep us in our prayers as we continuing preparing for our future, we hope to be in the Amazon soon!

Resumen - Summary Junio - Julio 2015

Hello everyone,
We hope you are all doing well.
It is hard to believe that we are already in the second half of this year. There is so much to share and here is a little portion of what was going on in the last two months.
We also made a video about the time in the Amazon with several teams visiting different villages and helping to organize some Bible training for pastors and leaders.

We are anxious about Isabella coming to this world to start sharing adventures with us. Natasha has about two weeks left and she is doing well with her pregnancy.

The training at Itec has been an amazing time, we have learned so much. We feels loved and it is really a blessing and a pleasure be part of this caring family.

It is always comforting to receive letters from friends and family encouraging us to keep moving forward in the task the Lord has commanded us. Thank you for every verse, call and of course, your prayers.

Summer 2015

We want to thank everyone who recently reviewed our last post of our new beginning here in Florida with the missions organization, ITEC. We have felt welcomed and very thankful to be here and part of the team.
Within the next month we also have many things going on within MiSion Inc and Agua y Vida. Jonatan is excited to be able to go to the Amazon for a few weeks an participate with 3 different, God given, opportunities there:

*The first is with a team comprised of his father, Tiberio Nieto and Dr. Fanning. Dr. Fanning is a professor at Liberty University and also has been a missionary to Colombia years passed. They will be spending a week in Tarapaca along the Putomayo River, Colombia brining pastoral training and leadership training to the people there.
 - Please pray for this time as God will lead people to grow more in Christ and the knowledge of His will.

*Jonatan will spend his final weeks with the TLC team (Touching Lives for Christ). We are so happy to host them again this year. TLC comes from the Bible College in Hobe Sound, Florida where we both graduated from. This team will be taking part in a pastoral training in Several villages.
 - Please pray that the team of students will be able to stay free from sickness, the pastors will grow for this training and God can open hearts more to His will.

During all these trips we are going to be handing out InTouch's messengers. We had got in contact with this organization and were excited that they were interested in sending some messengers with us to the Amazon. If you don't know what a messenger is, it is a solar powered device that is packet with Dr. Stanley's messages and also the New Testament. We got them in the Spanish and Portuguese language so the people can hear and understand! What a blessing! We hope to hear how much of a blessing it is for them!

We are so thankful how God is working in the Amazon and always are excited for the summer months to be part of the ministry there! Thanks for your prayer support in this time.

Exciting news - Baby and ITEC

Hello to all our friends and family,
We have so many changes going on in our lives and we are so excited to tell you what God is doing!

In February we went to Florida to visit a missions organization called ITEC (www.itecusa.org). We had an interest to work with them in the future but they encouraged us to come sooner. So, we prayed and felt peace that it was our time to move! In the middle of April we are moving to Florida to start our work with this organization and could not be more excited. Jonatan will be working with the IFLY program gaining more experience in aviation maintenance and flying time. We also want to learn more of how they are doing missions so we can help implement that in the area we are working in the Amazon of Colombia, Peru and Brazil.

The other BIG news is that the baby is growing strong and healthy! Thank the Lord :) We had our latest ultrasound and we are happy to announce if it is a girl/boy on April 12 at the gender reveal party! STAY TUNED!

We also ask to please pray for us as we raise funds for our monthly expenses as we volunteer with ITEC. We trust God will provide all we need to continue HIS work for the future.

Year End Review

Hello to all!

We are so thankful for all the people who have been encouraging us, helping us in the ministry and getting close to our goals.

God has been blessing us to much this year and in our first year of marriage we have to admit it has been a good year! We heard from many people your first year is the hardest so I guess the next years to come will be even better!

We want to just share some things that we have accomplished this year and how God is working in our lives through MiSion (Agua & Vida)

~One this we are really happy about is that Jonatan is going back to school to finish his schooling with Liberty University for his Aviation Maintenance Certification.

~We want to praise God, we have had a number of people/organizations interested about hearing of Colombia and the ministry. In one month Jonatan spoke 3 times! with different groups We are so thankful because the more people hear the more people will become involved in the ministry!

~We are so excited that we have reduced our total debt in half! We can not say this year has been easy but we are so thankful for God's provision. As a missionary it is best to not have any debt and we are slowly but surely reducing! it. 50% of our total debt has been reduced in about 10 months. This was one of the goals we set when we got married and we believe that this is so important not just as a couple going to spend our lives in the mission field but this should be important to any person. We want to encourage you to keep trusting God, He is our main provider and he can do it with you too. Praise GOD!

~The organization is slowly forming on the legal side here in the states. We are amazed all the paperwork and the money involved in establishing an organization but God is helping every step of the way and that helps us to keep moving forward!

Thanks again for your prayers, interest in the ministry, for your encouragement and your financial support. We hope you have a very good end of the year, remembering that the main importance of this season and any other season is to keep our faith with the most important person in the whole universe. Our creator.

What is "quiet"?

I was listening to Dr. David Jeremiah today and something touched me which is what I want to share with you today. Have you ever thought of this question?

What is quiet?
Have you ever thought about that?... Do you like silence?
Silence is loud. Imagine when you are angry at your wife/husband. You come home and the house is "quiet" because you do not say a word to each other, you are mad. (I don't know anything about that :). Or you get into your car and you have quiet. So, what do you do? You turn on your radio to break the silence!
Everywhere we go there is music. Silence truly is a gift!

We NEED quiet time with Christ, that is when God talks to us. That is when God works in our life, he gives us guidance, he tells us well done, he tells us what to do next.

In Joshua chapter 6 is the account of the army against Jericho.
Everyday for six days the army had to be silent. Silence IS loud. and longer it goes the louder it is. Imagine an ARMY being silent marching around the city. God wanted people to understand and trust Him even when it did not make sense. Imagine being a soldier. You would think it was so strange, and even if you wanted to say something you could not because you HAD to be silent.

The Bible reminds us to "Be still and Know that I am God".
Being silent is one of the most hardest things to do.. Right?
We need to have silence for God to talk, to speak to us. We have to be silent to think and make rational decisions.

I challenge you today. Go to your room, your bathroom, your closet. Somewhere that no one will bother you and have silence before the Lord. Sometimes you do not even need to say anything. You just need to come to that place, God knows what you are doing. Just sit there and wait for God to speak to you. He knows your heart and he has amazing things to tell YOU!
God loves us and wants the best for us, we just need to show Him that we trust him and desire to spend time with Him.

Jonatan and I, Natasha, want to thank you for taking the time to read our blog. We also wanted to share a photo collage with you; we had a great time this summer at the place we love. Our hearts are with the people in the Amazon and we were so thankful that we were able to go.
